A Year of Personal Progress for Young Women
I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life and I loved Personal Progress when I was in the Young Women program in my teenage years.
I love how it kept me focused on what mattered most. I love how it helped me create lasting habits that I carried with me into my college and married years. I love how it gave me purpose at an age where many teens are swallowed up in whatever is going on around them.
For those who have no idea what I am talking about, Personal Progress is a program for the young women of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, ages 12-18. It provides an amazing framework for personal growth and development in 8 areas. Those areas are:
- Divine Nature
- Individual Worth
- Choice & Accountability
- Good Works
I love this program so much! It has changed quite a bit since I went through it in my youth. Girls can now do the program at their own pace. Once they complete the requirements, they can start it over again and do it as many times as they’d like.
Because of this flexibility, I was excited to learn about a website that offers a schedule to complete the program in just 1 year! This girl has laid out a Personal Progress journey of 52 weeks, with tasks for each week listed in order. The PDF is free to print out and can be found HERE. She has it divided into 5 sections, so you’ll need to print all 5 to get the full year.
I made a cover sheet for my 12-year-old daughter and printed out the PDFs. Then I took it all to Staples and had them put a spiral binding on it for $5, and here is the finished product!
This is the back of the book. Staples adds a thick backing and a clear cover to keep everything nice and protected.
I am so excited to give this to my daughter for
If you would like to make one of these for any of the special young women in your life, I would be THRILLED to make a personalized cover sheet for you!!
Just make sure you are subscribed to this blog, and then comment below with the name(s) you would like on your coversheet(s).
If you are a young women leader and would like to make one for each of your young women, please don’t hesitate to ask for several coversheets. I am happy to do it; it doesn’t take very long at all!
