I never thought I’d be writing this post, but here we are. Thrive Life is GONE.
And I have to be honest, it was pretty sudden. Affiliates were notified about a week before emails went out to customers. Unfortunately for me, I was at Young Women’s Camp with the teens from church with minimal cell or Internet access. So I got the jist from a few friends but couldn’t really dig in to see what the heck was going on until I got home from camp.
It’s a whole story and I won’t go into the details here, but needless to say I was just as shocked as you are. If you’ve been relying on Thrive Life for your long-term food storage and now wondering where to turn, you’re in good company. But, even better, I have a good Thrive Life alternative for you.
So you’ve been doing good and following along with 52 Weeks of Growing Your Food Storage.
Your long term food storage stash is starting to fill in, but if you haven’t noticed we still have quite a few weeks to go in 2025 (and beyond). If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I highly recommend growing your short and long-term food storage at the same time. Which is why I dedicate one entire week each month (of the 52 Weeks program) to freeze dried food that lasts.
Thank goodness Thrive Life was not the only freeze-dried food company out there. I made a pretty quick and easy switch to Emergency Essentials.
They’ve been around for awhile and I have ordered from them regularly. I just really liked some of the options from Thrive, especially the pantry cans. Which unfortunately, you will not find with Emergency Essentials cans. You also won’t find those delicious yogurt bites. But I know most of you really like the #10 cans and you can definitely get those!
Another cool thing with Emergency Essentials is that they offer generators, backup batteries, water and other emergency preparedness gear. So, they definitely have a lot to offer and I think you’ll be a-0kay making the switch. They get my stamp of approval.
Here are a few best sellers that could get you started:
The list goes on. There are a lot of options here.
I will note that in some ways I will miss the autoship from Thrive but I can also appreciate that many people will be totally fine with placing an order whenever they’re ready. I just liked the convenience of not really having to think about it. Not really a big deal though.
If you have questions, the FAQ page on the Emergency Essentials website (beprepared.com) can probably answer most of them.
I know a lot of this, you’re probably thinking “Duh Mel” but I really do like to take the guesswork out of things for you. So, here are a few practical tips to help you make the switch.
