December 2022 Thrive Life Food Storage Specials

What you want to know before filling your delivery cart this month

I feel like I just told you about all the November specials. But, here it is December so let’s get to it!

As always, these are listed in no particular order. And this month we get 9 instead of 6!

1

Mushroom Pieces

YES!

Who else reaches for the mushrooms and they’re black and slimy? It feels like every time I buy fresh mushrooms, they go bad before I get the chance to use them. Because of this, I use Thrive Life’s freeze dried mushrooms in my cooking instead of fresh mushrooms. Every single time.

They are so awesome to have on hand to just toss in a sauce. You can rehydrate first or if you’re putting them in a meal with liquid in it (like soup), just toss them right in.

Super convenient for every day and an awesome option to give you some variety in your food storage meals.

3

Ground Beef

Looks like dog food, tastes like ground beef!

Is anyone else’s mind just blown that  you can have meat sitting on the shelf for 25 years that is already cooked and can be eaten straight out of the can, or rehydrated and used in your normal cooking?!

Pretty amazing!

4

Chopped Onions

If you’ve been here for awhile, then you already know how I feel about these chopped onions. These are a must have – not only in your food storage, but in your pantry for daily cooking!

You’ll never need to chop a fresh onion again!

These are so amazing that they made my Top 12 Foods I Keep in My Food Storage!

5

Diced Chicken

Not for me, but others have said this chicken tastes just fine. I’m just a chicken snob and can’t do it.

It tastes like reheated chicken to me, and just like I can’t eat leftovers with chicken in them – it makes me want to gag.  I know.  Totally high maintenance.  It happened after my third pregnancy and chicken has just never been the same for me.

6

Fuji Apple Slices

These are really so good. A great healthy snack for any time, food storage or not. Fresh fruit with a 25 year shelf life? Yes, do it.  These also made my top 12 things to keep in your food storage list!

7

Banana Slices

Not lacking in flavor at all! These are not my personal favorite, but it totally depends on your personal ripeness preference.  I like my bananas with a healthy amount of green on them, so it makes sense that I wish they were a little less ripe-tasting.

Do not mistake these for banana chips. Banana chips are dehydrated and crunchy as all get-out.  You’ve probably had banana chips in a trail mix at one point or another.   These freeze-dried banana slices are very light and airy; still crunchy, but it’s the airy crunch that you get with all freeze-dried foods.  So you still get a little crunch, but less chip-like. You can read through this post to learn more about the difference between dehydrated and freeze-dried foods.

When my daughter was younger, these were her favorite.

8

Tomato Dices

Haven’t tried these – my family doesn’t like cooked tomatoes, so these don’t make sense for my food storage.

Click here is you are ready to add freeze dried tomato dices to your order.

9

Garlic

I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m super curious!  I have this, so I’ll break it out this month and give it a try and come update this post once I’ve tried it!
